We understand that our space is limited for the golf tournament and sells out very quickly. If you would still like to contribute to support our local high school seniors and local non-profit organizations, we would be forever grateful.
To date, we have awarded $145,000 in scholarships to 29 local high school seniors from all four Warren County High Schools and Bowling Green High School.
We’ve also provided grants totaling $50,000 to five local non-profit organizations who are working tirelessly to positively change the trajectory of families and children in our community, including: Life’s Better Together, Phoenix Rising, Curbside Ministries, The Foundry and the Barren River Child Advocacy Center.
The Birdies for Brittney Golf Tournament was named in honor of our beloved Brittney Gorman Parrish. Brittney was a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green High School and a 2010 graduate of Western Kentucky University. Brittney was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on May 22, 2017. Tragically, she passed away only three days later on May 25, 2017. Brittney was a wife, mother to nine-month-old Emery Rose, a daughter and a dear friend to many.
Brittney made a difference in our community in her short 28 years on this earth. She was president of the Bowling Green Junior Women’s Club and volunteered with five other non-profit organizations. Her altruism was her defining trait and, in that way, this event was created to honor her legacy and to make a difference for future generations.
Brittney’s contagious smile and generous nature illuminated the lives of everyone she met.
Our goal is to honor her legacy in all the ways that we can, whenever we can!
The inaugural Birdies for Brittney Golf Tournament was held in 2018 and seven years later we are still honoring Brittney’s legacy in a big way! Birdies for Brittney has been the perfect opportunity to celebrate Brittney’s life and spread her light throughout the Bowling Green community.
