The Birdies for Brittney Golf Tournament was named in honor of our beloved Brittney Gorman Parrish. Brittney was a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green High School and a 2010 graduate of Western Kentucky University. Brittney was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on May 22, 2017. Tragically, she passed away only three days later on May 25, 2017. Brittney was a wife, mother to nine-month-old Emery Rose, a daughter and a dear friend to many.
Brittney made a difference in our community in her short 28 years on this earth. She was president of the Bowling Green Junior Women’s Club and volunteered with five other non-profit organizations. Her altruism was her defining trait and, in that way, this event was created to honor her legacy and to make a difference for future generations.
Brittney’s contagious smile and generous nature illuminated the lives of everyone she met.
Our goal is to honor her legacy in all the ways that we can, whenever we can!
